Final Question to Karl Kapp
Webinars September 25th, 2008With the Transferring Knowledge webinar coming tomorrow, I had one final question for Karl Kapp.
How did you get into your career?
My first job out of college was working for an instructional design company. I actually started as an intern and I didn’t know anything about instructional design so I asked “what is it that your really do here?” And they said “Instructional Design and Technology.” I enjoyed it so much I decided to get a Master’s Degree in it and then decided to get a Ed.D. I worked at that first instructional design company for a few years and then had the opportunity to become a one person training department for a computer company. So I took on that challenge for a few years and then wanted to get into academia so I looked around and found the position at Bloomsburg and the rest is history.
Besides teaching full time and making lots of presentations, Karl has done a lot of writing.
His lastest book is Gadgets, Games, and Gizmos for Learning and his first two books on instructional design Winning E-Learning Proposals and Integrated Learning with ERP Success.
I look forward to seeing you there at this Friday’s webinar. There is still room to register.
