Tomorrow we are going to have a free webinar on Sustaining Technical Programs. Throughout the years technical programs have been hit hard by low enrollement, lack of interest, etc. This webinar will address some of the issues.

From administrators, to faculty, to students, the issue of sustaining technical programs is one of the most pressing challenges on community college campuses today. Often faced with declining enrollment, an administration may cancel a class. This can impact the existing student’s academic momentum in the program. It creates a downward spiral for the program. How can faculty stay current, how can a college afford the technology and labs to stay current? In this web seminar, invited faculty and administrators will present their views on challenges and solutions. Panelists include: Margie Fyfield, Dean, Science and Technology, Portland Community College, and Philip D. Weinsier, Program Director, Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Technology, Bowling Green State University-Firelands. This is the second in a series of webinars concerning technical program. To watch the first of the series: Technical Programs: Here to Stay or Too Expensive to Maintain?
