New iPhone
Electronics July 11th, 2008I am currently not in line to buy a new iPhone. I will not be in line to buy a new iPhone. While the iPhone is a great convergence of technologies, I am the type of person who will patiently wait while all the bugs are worked out. I know two people that are in line. They will show me their new phones when I see them at the SAME-TEC conference (July 28-31 in Austin, TX). I will be jealous, I will want to get one. But, I will come home and not see another iPhone or think about iPhones for a while and my desire for it will go away (it is a good thing I will only see them at the conference and that I don’t work with them on a daily basis). What about you? The new iPhone has some cool stuff, but other phone makers are starting to do the same thing with their phones. Will you be standing in line? Do you plan on getting on in the next few weeks? Or are you going to wait for the 3rd generation iPhone and see what the other phone makers are doing?

The iPhone did revolutionize smart phones. Still not in line to buy one. If they would ever get to my carrier, Sprint, then I would be tempted – but I am really tempted by the EVO.
