The SAME-TEC 2008 conference is on its last day. I have been so busy that I barely have time to check email in the morning and that is it. It has been a great conference. I got to meet and have dinner with Karl Kapp as well as the very friendly gang from NCTT (thanks to Gordon and Mike for the invite!). All my sessions went well and there were a lot of positive comments.

One thing that the a conference can provide is the opportunity for faculty to meet and share ideas and learn that their problems are not theirs alone. Many ideas were discussed and many solutions were found. There was a lot of learning going on.

In one of my workshops, I had everyone introduce themselves. Two gentlemen started talking about their hobbies – one said that he was an amatuer radio operator. The other replied he was as well. They exchanged call signs and discovered that they have been talking to each other for about ten years!

I have to get back to the conference for a session that is now going to start.
