A Quick Way To Find All Acronyms In A Word Document
Misc. July 7th, 2009Our company is called MATEC (Maricopa Advanced Technology Center) and we’re partially funded by a grant from the NSF (National Science Foundation). Part of MATEC is NetWorks which is an ATE (Advanced Technological Education) National Resource Center.
If you were able to follow that first paragraph then you can see that we deal with acronyms quite a bit at our work, almost everyday. So if you’re like us and deal with acronyms all the time then the steps listed below could come in real handy for a time in need.
Just follow the directions exactly below and it will highlight every acronym in that word document for you.
In Word, Open the Find window (Ctrl + F)
1. Check the box labeled “Use Wildcards”
2. In the “Find What” field, put this phrase: <[A-Z]{2,}>
3. Click “Reading Highlight”, and then “Highlight All”
4. Enjoy seeing all of your acronyms highlighted
