Friday Wrap Up
Misc. May 8th, 2009Friday Wrap Up is where I am going to throw out a few articles and comments from news of the past week that I found interesting but didn’t get a chance to blog about.
ASU West will use Solar Panels to Generate Power – Arizona State University’s West campus could get about half of its power off-the-grid by the end of the year.
National Bank of Arizona Partners with Solar City, First Solar – National Bank of Arizona Wednesday announced a partnership with SolarCity and First Solar Inc. to build a 222-kilowatt solar system to be mounted on carports at the bank’s headquarters in Phoenix.
Arizona has 300 days of pure sunshine – Arizona should be leading the nation and the world in solar – yet sadly, we don’t. National Bank of Arizona putting the panels on the carports is an excellent use of space. With all the solar products being made, it should help to drive down the cost for the equipment.
