Wolfram Alpha: this site just recently came on line and is associated with the developers of the Mathematica software. WA (Wolfram alpha) is an “answer engine.” WA takes a different approach to search and tries to intuit your query in the form of inter-relationships of data associated with your query. Believe me it is worth watching the quick introduction video.

Try typing in kwh (for kilo watt hours); WA gives you a number of things including to the fact that 1 kwh = 181 liters of  human oxygen consumption equivalency. Often you get things you didn’t know you were looking for. This thing is not perfect but is growing. Give it and its Google competitor a try.
